We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God, whom God sent to earth to live a perfect life and die on the cross for our sins. We believe that He rose from the dead three days later and in so doing defeated death and made a way for every human being to have salvation. He offers us His perfect life in exchange for our sin. (John 3:16; 1 John 4:9; 1 Timothy 2:6)
Scripture teaches that every one of us has a problem with sin. This problem has separated us from God. Every human being's greatest need and, deep down, greatest desire, is to be in relationship with God. (Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23)
We believe that there is one true God who created all that is, including us. We believe that He loves us deeply and desires for us to have a relationship with Him. (Genesis 1-3; 1 John 4:8)
Don't worry, all the good stuff at our church isn't just for the under 18 crowd! We have plenty of engaging events and gatherings designed to build the faith and community of our adults as well. Young or old, Christian or not, single or married, man or woman—we've got a place for you!
The Holy Spirit is an equal part of the Trinity - God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Every Christian upon salvation is given the Holy Spirit, who helps us to follow God closer here on earth. (John 16:7; Romans 8:11)
We believe that the Bible is the infallible Word of God given to us to teach us the truth about God, the world, and ourselves. It is the primary way the Holy Spirit teaches us today and provides us with a complete truth of salvation and God's redemption of mankind. (2 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 4:12; Isaiah 40:8)
One CANNOT earn salvation by good works. It is a gift from God for us simply to accept! (Ephesians 2:8). We believe that the gift of salvation that Christ offers us can be accepted by following the Bible's guidance to believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, died for our sins, and rose again (John 3:16; Acts 16:31); repent of your sins and commit to following Jesus for the rest of your life to the best of your abilities (Acts 2:38; Luke 13:3); confess your faith in Jesus (Matthew 10:32-33; Romans 10:9); and being baptized into Christ (Acts 2:38; Mark 16:16; 1 Peter 3:21).
Our Mission:
In John 17:3 Jesus is praying and says this, "And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God,"
In Jeremiah 9:23 the prophet declares, "Thus says the Lord: "Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, 24 but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me" True salvation is knowing God. So here at Rocklane we have one simple mission that permeates everything we do.
